This year was my monumental 30th Birthday!
And I must take a moment to share my gratitude to all those who made me feel so loved and special!
Saturday morning this sweet amazing friend showed up at my door after a 2 hour drive from Vegas (almost ran out of gas too!) to surprise me with a birthday breakfast at the Bear Claw!
We were gluttonous!
After Crepes and Creme stuffed french toast, not to mention eggs hash browns, bacon AND if you can believe it hot chocolate (yes! Hot chocolate in August! Apparently its world famous at the Bear Claw, and just sounded so good!)
Needless to say we were "fat and happy" once that smorgasbord was through!
P.S. the reason I look like I just woke up, is because I did in fact
JUST WAKE UP!
Lindsay you look gorgeous especially for waking up at 5 am!
Thank you so much my sweet friend! I'm still geekin out over all the effort it took to make that happen.
And a big thank you to my hubby for being an accomplice and stopping me from downing the slimfast and ruining the surprise. Love you honey!
Later, that same day...
After a very enjoyable pedicure with Hilary,
I arrived home to this gorgeous work of edible art!
This sneaky man organized a fantastic surprise party complete with
Beautiful designer fondant cake,
Good pizza and soda (not the lil casars variety)
Good friends and games!
Thank you so much babe, I felt so special!
Notice the beautiful yellow roses,
a gift from dear friends.
Thank you Travis and Kristine!
Chocolate cake, with a hint of almond (I think)
White fondant
Chocolate fondant for the branches (tasted like a gourmet tootsie roll)
Even the blossoms were edible! (Except for the stamen, no dice)
Sunday morning brought more cake (moms request!)
Gifts from afar (Mesa/Gilbert)
Thanks Mom, Dad and Devin
for contributing to the designer jean fund and the new flat iron!
I can finally retire the old one being held together with tape.
Dana made this!
I love it, and always wanted one.
Thanks Day!
The party didn't end there! Oh no sir!
The rest of the week brought
cards from Grandparents
much well wishing on Facebook
Little treats like donut holes (love those ones from Lin's)
and Frozen hot chocolate from Dairy Queen (yum!)
Cute braclets from the in-laws
And as if that wasn't enough...
The week of celebration ended with a fabulous girls night
with dinner at Brick Oven,
movie:
500 Days of Summer (loved it!)
and we even fit in a jaunt to Target!
Thats a grand as it get on a budget in
good ol St. George.
It was perfect!
Thank you
Jen, Lori and Hilary
And thanks to everyone who helped make this gal feel fabulous on her 30th!
30 is the new 25 you know!

WOW!!! What an AMAZING birthday weekend you had!!! Your cake was beautiful!! Good job Adam for making it all happen!!! Love ya!
It all sounds so wonderful! Happy, happy, happy birthday. Did Jackson start kindergarten this year? How are all your boys doing? I hope that you are all doing well.
Great post Meg! Quite a birthday indeed. Glad your entry to 30 was fantastic because it's all downhill from here! Totally joking! Feeling more like me everyday. Love you so much!
Happy Birthday Megan!! Wow, what a birthday celebration. I'm going to make Nick read this blog and see if he can re-create this for me for my (gulp) 30th birthday in a few weeks. It looks like you had Buddy-the-Cake-Boss make your birthday cake for you, its gorgeous! I have so much catching-up to do with you, I am almost scared to get started. Hope everything is going well for you. We drove through St. George a couple of weeks ago and we both took several guesses of which area of town you were living in. St. George looks awesome! Oh, I can't wait to hear the specs of how you are doing!
Happy Dirty Thirty Lady! Mine will be in March. You're right, 30 IS the new 25! You look great, and how amazing was that cake???
Sorry I missed you b-day!! It looked fabulous...and you deserve nothing but fabulous! My 30 in is 3 weeks, I'm so excited! Happy 30th my friend!
Wow, it has been a long time since I have caught up with your happenings. Happy birthday. What a splendid way to celebrate, your husband baffles me with his uncanny ability to read women's minds....I know that sounds a little creepy but it is stinking true. Glad to see your 30 and still dead sexy...is there hope?
that blog was awesome....inspiring and colorful and so funky. I loved it! AND you read my mind...I am painting my kitchen table and was fretting over how to make it durable...wipe on poly...genius. I didn't even know that existed. That is funny about the hair, I think I am chopping mine off real soon to a bob:). I just can't resist a good bob.
Happy belated Birthday Megan. I don't know how I missed this post, but it looks like you had a most amazing birthday full of fun and friends. I'm wishing we lived closer to each other! Sending my love and hugs.
